Day 18 – Anatomy Art
What a busy day! It started with a 9:30am phone call with Wix customer support to figure out why the Spanish and English versions are not updating. We realized the other day that gallery images uploaded in the English translation did not transfer to the Spanish translation, which is distressing because it could potentially mean we would have to duplicate the entire gallery in the Spanish translation. They were very helpful and courteous, so we will hopefully hear back from Wix I.T. by the end of the week.
Working with Rebecca Voler is an exciting opportunity as it means the site could reach another demographic! As I write, I’m realizing that to make this website truly accessible, we will need to heavily advertise and publicize so that teachers and students utilize it.
As far as lesson plans, the bulk of our day centered around editing, formatting, organizing, structuring, etc. of these resources created by Celia and Aubrey. They have done an absolutely amazing job in creating these plans and they are prominently featured on the website. Though it may not seem like much, we had to edit the lesson plans, then format the website to be able to upload documents that then the public can download onto their devices, as well as organize the plans by age group. Aubrey will later work on plans geared to secondary level students based on Celia’s original plans.
We are also working on the virtual reality tab. We will need to meet with Celia in order to complete this, as we need all of her research in order to make the tab complete.
Tune in tomorrow for Aubrey’s update! The picture below is of our mid-day break to go tye-dye our SCARP t-shirts!
