Daily Blog #15: Digitization of the Puffenberger Religious Artifacts Collection
Our day started out with our team meeting which included a discussion about the future of the project and where we hope to be when our time working on the collection is done. We hope to get as many items cataloged and researched along with videos and resources for students and educators. Also since I am leaving two weeks before Amal leaves, I plan on taking photos for as many artifacts as I can before I leave. By leaving her with artifacts already cataloged she will have research to do after I leave and therefore add even more information to the Omeka Site.
Today, I picked up where I left off in terms of adding Dublin Core to the 25 artifacts we cataloged last week. After working on it all day, I was able to finish putting in the data for 10 artifacts today. I also proofread Amal’s research for each artifact and left comments on our shared Excel spreadsheet informing her of what needs to be changed or fixed. Also, we determined what types of questions we plan to asl Dr. Puffenberger when he comes in to do video interviews in the future. Hopefully tomorrow I am able to finish 10 more artifacts and contact certain professors from Elizabethtown that we wish to interview next week.
