Daily Blog #2: Digitization of the Puffenberger Religious Artifacts Collection

It has been only two days since this project started and we have already done so much! Today we began with researching. I focused on researching the Omeka sites which helped me become more educated on the subject, making it a better experience than yesterday. I watched many YouTube tutorials, viewed articles, and read about peoples experiences with Omeka. Through my research I am now able to inform the group on what theme and set-up is best for our website. Amal and I also drew up a diagram of what we wish our website, to look like eventually. Today, Carol also gave a little lesson to us about the camera and video technology. This review was very helpful because it reminded me of important points and skills that I had forgotten about since the beginning of the previous semester. After that, I decided that it would be best if we contacted the professors we would want to be a part of the video commentary section on our website. So, with the help of Carol, I sent my first mail merge to all of the professors that we wished to contact This new skill will be helpful in my future professional career. After a very productive day today, I hope we continue to make this much progress in the future.
