Maintain Account Access with MFA
We’re all getting ready to put the Fall 2020 semester behind us and prepare for 2021, but with the temporary shift away from our roles as Etown College community members we need to remember that network passwords still expire over break! You can avoid losing access to your email and other network resources by resetting your password before you finish the semester, and you should consider enrolling in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) too. MFA (also referred to as two-factor authentication) not only enhances the security of your account, but also allows you to reset your account password using a phone number that you link to your account. This option may be helpful if you realize you can’t check your email or access Jayweb when the ITS office is closed. Enrolling in MFA is easy and takes only a few minutes. You can find the details about MFA at Etown and the steps for getting set up in this series of knowledgebase articles.
As always, please contact the Help Desk if you have any difficulty with the process or any other questions.
