Printing Quotas
When students send documents to a campus printer, they are informed of a printing charge through a dialogue box. While each page’s price varies depending on size and color, they are all part of a student’s print quota.
Every student at Elizabethtown College has a $25.00 quota per semester, which is approximately 500 pages of paper. Some students will print over this quota and some will be under the quota, but in no situation does the College wish to charge students for going over it. The campus printers are intended for printing academic papers and necessary research. Student printing is monitored to reduce paper waste.
The dialogue box is meant to remind students of this and to show paper usage. The College does not view printing as a source of profit, but ultimately must pay the vendor for each page printed. Please be mindful of this, and limit printing on campus printers to academic use.
Any further questions should be directed to Ronald Heasley (heaslerp@etown.edu), Director of ITS.
