Canvas Tip of the Week: Turnitin Now Fully Integrated with Canvas

One of the easy-to-use features of Canvas has been the check box to enable Turnitin Originality Checks on any online assignment in Canvas.  But, that Turnitin API integration limits the features and functionality of the Turnitin tool.  So, last week we completed the administrative work to integrate the Turnitin LTI with Canvas.  Now, you can access all of the Turnitin features — Originality Check, GradeMark, Peer Review — right from within Canvas.  If you have existing assignments that are using the Turnitin API (the check box in the assignment details), then you will need to recreate the assignment via the “External Tool” option to be able to access the full features of Turnitin.  More information is available in the Instructor and Student guides.  If you would like help in configuring your assignments to utilize Turnitin, feel free to contact Linda Macaulay (macaulayl@etown.edu) to set up an appointment.
