Canvas Updates – June 2015

We are just under a month away from saying “goodbye” to Blackboard and having all courses in Canvas.  In fact, every summer course is now being taught in Canvas.  All Fall 2015 courses have been added to Canvas and existing content from Blackboard has been copied into these courses.  We continue to archive Blackboard courses that have content from Fall 2013-Spring 2015. Please take a moment to login to Canvas and check if your Fall courses have content in them.  If they do not and you do have content that currently lives in Blackboard that you want imported, please contact Linda Macaulay right away so we can get that content moved over.

There is now a link to Canvas on all of the college websites and the Blackboard button has been removed.  If you need to get to Blackboard for any reason, the direct link is http://blackboard9.etown.edu.

Just this week, Canvas announced some really awesome new features that will take effect on June 6th.  Take a look at the screencast that overviews these exciting features.  My favorite is differentiated assignments!
