Managing Due Dates in Canvas

So, you want to assign due dates, but you’ve chosen not to because it becomes a challenge to continually update them for each class? Worry no more! In Canvas, if you set dates in your course, the next time the course is copied, it can automatically roll over the dates for the new semester.  So, if you set an assignment to be due on Thursday night of the first week, it will automatically roll over from the start date of the new class.  Including due dates for assignments helps students stay organized so that the assignment appears in their “To Do” list as well as on the syllabus (home) page of the course.
