Insert a Symbol or Diacritical Mark in Word
Symbols such as hearts, arrows, diamonds, triangles such as ♥ → ♦ Δ or diacritical marks such as Ᾱ may be easily inserted in Word on a PC or Mac. The symbol is inserted at the cursor in a line of text and acts like a character. You can delete, enlarge or reduce the point size of the symbol the same way you do with a letter or word.
KᾹV was never so easy to type! But it all starts with knowing how to insert a symbol. Check out the ITS Knowledgebase for instructions on both a PC and Mac.
If you frequently type a word that uses a diacritical mark, add the word to the AutoCorrect list. You’ll type the word without the diacritical mark and AutoCorrect will automatically change it.
