Canvas Updates – April 2015

Canvas just announced that it will be updating its Community tool.  This means that effective April 15th all of the current help guides and feature discussions will be placed in “read only” mode and then after June 30th, they will become inactive and the new Community tools will be live.  Although having to repair links we have in courses to existing help guides will take some time, it does sound like the new community will be even more powerful and user-friendly.  Want to know more?  Check out the FAQ page.

Another recent update has enhanced the toolbar in the rich text editor in Canvas.  You may have noticed that you can now add tables in the textbox and actually are now able to edit them later.  This was a “pet peeve” with Canvas and now there really is nothing in Blackboard that is glaringly missing from Canvas.
