Hide Formatting Symbols

If you see odd dots between words, paragraph symbols at the ends of paragraphs or on blank lines,  or arrows and other symbols, the Show Hide command on the Home ribbon has been clicked. Being able to view these non-printing symbols is helpful if troubleshooting a Word document’s formatting but not if you display them by mistake. Here’s how to make them disappear.
