Daily Blog #7: Digitization of the Puffenberger Religious Artifacts Collection

Wow, was today a productive day! We started out the day with a detailed meeting about our goals and what we need to do in the next couple of days in order to achieve them. After the meeting, Amal and I focused on cleaning up the website and proof-read what we had written yesterday. We are still having some trouble linking the HUB website to Omeka in terms of opening up another window. The carousel Plugin is another aspect of the code that we are unsure of.

After lunch, I spent a majority of the afternoon taking pictures of all six of the Buddhist artifacts that we selected in our 30 tentative artifact selection. I had a really fun time handling the artifacts and be able to capture their beauty. After I took the photos I edited them and selected the ones I decided to upload onto Omeka. Then, I decided to stay an hour or so later than normal in order to create the animations of the objects. The animations I created were 360-degree videos of the objects, which I uploaded to Omeka also. Today Amal and I got a lot of work done and the website is looking more professional and populated every day!
