Day 25 – Anatomy Art – LAST DAY
Rebecca’s Reflection
Well, the day is here. The last day of our project. It is a very bittersweet moment, because while we were able to accomplish so much and take the project on our own shoulders, there is still much to be done in the following summers. We were not able to get funding to publish the website, so right now it is only shareable through a QR code/link. While it is disappointing, we created a business card so people find us that way. My logo is on the front of the business card (which is w.i.l.d.) and hopefully in the next summers the project gets the funding to make this available to the public. I finally got my act together to finish the virtual reality tab, and Rebecca Voler is working over the weekend to finish translating the last of the Spanish version. Aubrey finished backing up all the pictures from WIX into a desktop folder so we have all the edited pictures in case something goes wrong. We also wrote an email to the heads of our departments so they can share it with our classmates.
I am so thankful for this opportunity to grow and learn in ways I never thought (as an OT student) I would get the chance to do. We created a website, not just a catalog of art, and I am so proud of what it turned into. My hope is that people actually use it to further their knowledge of anatomy, whether that is in their own lives or the lives of their students.

What she said.
JK. Honestly I feel like I’m in shock, I keep thinking that we’re going to be here again Monday 9 AM ready to add more and more. But regardless, I’m so proud of how far we’ve come with this project. Five weeks ago Rebecca had no idea we were even doing a website and I knew nothing about the anatomy behind this project. Present day, Rebecca can take and edit photos, edit a website, make GIFs, create business cards, etc. I still know squat about anatomy though. XD But actually I have learned so much about these pieces and the science behind them that I never would have known. The words ‘Integumentary system’ are forever plastered in my head. And I’m so glad that we got so much done today with final edits and proofreading.
I am also so proud of being able to bring my own major into this project with so many resources for teachers and students alike. It feels like I can be true to myself and my passions while still going out of my comfort zone to reach new heights. Especially as I can know apply these newfound skills to my profession to create my own website to use as a high school teacher.
I’m gonna miss this though.
Signing off.

Our business card, the thing that makes this whole thing feel real.
