Day 7 of the Digital Curation of Puffenberger’s Religious Artifacts

Today, a lot got done! I still could not figure out the RSS feed, but we were able to link the website directly to the “Blog” tab. However, the only problem with that is, is it does not open the blog into a new window. We did not want the tab to close out of the website so I instead embedded a hyperlink that would link out the website instead but the “Blog” tab still looks a little bare. I will wait to continue working on that when the librarians get back to me. Today also was the start of the Buddhism research. I got 4 out of 6 artifacts done with the majority of the research but some of the artifacts, specifically the bamboo flute, have little to no sacred texts so I am not sure what to do about that. I plan on continuing this research tomorrow and add more the website as I go. I played around with the carousel plug-in today but the plug in only seems to apply to the “Simple “Pages” which is a problem since we want the plug in to be on the homepage on the “featured item” block. Again, I am going to have to wait to hear from the librarians to see if there is anything we can do about that. A lot of work got done today though! Below is a video of Hannah taking pictures of a Buddhist artifact.
