Creativity In and Out of the Classroom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt;color: black\"><a href=\"http:\/\/groups.etown.edu\/ot\/love-ot-book-folding-2017\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1725\" src=\"http:\/\/groups.etown.edu\/ot\/files\/2017\/10\/Love-OT-book-folding-2017-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>by Terri Dennehy, D.Ed, OTR\/L<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt;color: black\">On Tuesday, October 10, 2017, several freshman students in the OT 111 Media Class did their first college presentation at a Book Folding Event, hosted by Librarian Joshua Cohen.\u00a0 This evening event was a collaborative effort between occupational therapy and the library and was open to the college campus at large.\u00a0Twenty-six students and faculty from various areas and majors attended the crafting experience which was taught by OT students.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1724\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1724\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/groups.etown.edu\/ot\/bookfolding-with-terri-freshmen-2017\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1724\" src=\"http:\/\/groups.etown.edu\/ot\/files\/2017\/10\/Bookfolding-with-Terri-freshmen-2017-1024x705.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"275\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groups.etown.edu\/ot\/files\/2017\/10\/Bookfolding-with-Terri-freshmen-2017-1024x705.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/groups.etown.edu\/ot\/files\/2017\/10\/Bookfolding-with-Terri-freshmen-2017-300x207.jpg 300w, https:\/\/groups.etown.edu\/ot\/files\/2017\/10\/Bookfolding-with-Terri-freshmen-2017-768x529.jpg 768w, https:\/\/groups.etown.edu\/ot\/files\/2017\/10\/Bookfolding-with-Terri-freshmen-2017.jpg 1631w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1724\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Freshmen O.T. students with Professor Terri Dennehy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt;color: black\">\u00a0In OT 111, the\u00a0cohort&#8217;s 72 freshman\u00a0are learning about the domain and process of occupational therapy and the ways we think through every day tasks using activity analysis.\u00a0 Book folding\u00a0is one of several paper crafts which Terri uses to increase students&#8217;
