After having my morning discussion with Mrs. Ouiment, I decided to take a detour on what I have been working on for the past few days and start checking on the website and the digitizing side our the project. First, I logged into the Omeka site to try and figure out how to solve some of the issues Tyler and I have been facing with the webpage. One of our major obstacle with the site has been modifying the Dublin Core add-on, which is a set of vocabulary terms that describes digital resources, such as photography. After conducting research and reading through couple of websites on how to remove unnecessary descriptors, I found that I could plug in an add on to our Omeka page called hide element. It allowed me to remove all of the descriptors that Tyler and I were not planning on using. From there, I started typing out the descriptions for the three umber terms that we decided on using to classify all of the artifacts. So far, I have completed two out of three.

Today was a very successful day for me, and I can’t wait to see what is stored for me tomorrow.

sign off – moh

Hello everyone Experiencing a huge learning curve?
