Social Media Tips, Tricks & Tales for the Elizabethtown College Community
Instagram Photo Challenge Wrap-Up
The Photo Fun in February Instagram photo challenge is over. For the past 28 days we’ve enjoyed more than 1200 scenes captured by almost 100 people. We’ve witnessed lots of creativity and, at times, the sentimental. We saw the personality of Blue Jays come alive. And many of these pictures helped tell the Elizabethtown College story. We hope those who participated or viewed the photos had a lot of fun too.
The challenge welcomed a variety of participants. From what we can tell, the majority were Elizabethtown College students, rounded out by alumni, prospective students, E-town employees and their families, and a few folks with no affiliation to the College that happened to find our challenge through hashtags.
We’ve been asked if there would be another challenge soon. We don’t want the novelty of this type of activity to wear off, so we’ll likely have another official E-town photo challenge in the fall. In the meantime, you can continue to share certain photos with us and the community by using #etowncollege!
Oh yes. We have 10 winners to announce. As of this writing, they’ve already been notified via Instagram and Twitter, but to recap mmols, mineswiper, shannonk2012, theklapattack and kaylin_russell won free 5×7 Kodak Kiosk prints from The College Store; thisisarianna won a travel tumbler and pongycone won a Blue Jays. Always. pint glass, both from the Office of Alumni Relations; and from Dining Services, marlajeanp won $10 in JayBucks, smorgey won a free carrot cake from the Blue Bean, and petea919 won a free sandwich and drink from The Bird Feeder. Thanks to Susan Smith, Lynda Hudzick and Mark Clapper.
