A one-day event for Boy and Girl Scouts to earn 2 merit badges!

Scouting University February 9, 2013

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Dear friend of Scouting University:
For nearly 10 years, the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Club at Elizabethtown College has hosted the annual Scouting University event for local boy scouts and girl scouts. During that time, the event has grown by leaps and bounds. While SIFE, the student volunteer group that coordinates Scouting University, is committed to helping boy scouts and girl scouts earn merit badges, the Scouting University event has expanded beyond our capacity to host a quality event. As a result, the SIFE club will not be hosting Scouting University 2013 at Elizabethtown College. If you have expressed interest in the February event, we apologize for the inconvenience.
The SIFE club thanks you for your past support of Scouting University and wishes you good luck as you continue on your journey in scouting.  We hope to be able to host this event in the future.

Scouting University is a day of learning and fun for both Boy and Girl Scouts from various regions to earn 2 merit badges in 1 day on the Elizabethtown College campus. The badges are taught by students and faculty during morning and afternoon sessions. Scouting University sessions cover a wide variety of badge topics, from first aid and self defense to computers, crafts, science, business, and ethics topics. It is an excellent chance for scouts to earn up to 2 badges in 1 day and meet fellow scouts from surrounding areas.  Scouting University is run through and supported by the Elizabethtown College’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and the PA Dutch Council.
