Continued Competency – what about independent readings, watching DVDs, and learning activities without assessments?
Although the Board will not grant credit for these activities, the information gleaned from these activities may be used to write an article in a non-peer reviewed magazine, journal or newsletter, or to teach an employer-generated continuing education program, which would then qualify the occupational therapist for publication or instruction credit.
Working with kids for fifteen plus years as an OT in southeast Pa. School based practice, autism, early intervention, food habits, PA licensure and continued competency are my areas of interest and expertise. I look forward to "chattting" with lots of OTs on this blog!
