Several Elizabethtown College professors and students have been selected to present at the virtual 2021 Notre Dame Student Peace Conference, which runs from April 15-17. The theme for this year’s fully online format is, “Beyond the Surface: Moving the Needle on Global Peace.”
The Etown cohort of Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies Naomi Kraenbring, Assistant Professor of French Vanessa Borilot, as well as students Lauren Robitaille ‘22, Kayla Shultz ‘23 and Zoe Williams ‘22, are scheduled to speak on Saturday, April 17 at 3:30 p.m.
Registration is free for anyone interested in attending the virtual event.
Their presentation, “Artistic Peacebuilding: creative practice, practice in creativity,” will center on the successes and challenges of the Artistic Peacebuilding course, and will highlight the students’ creative culminating projects for peace.
This group of Etown professors and students was selected to present from a pool of 56 submissions. During the conference, more than 50 students from 19 colleges and universities around the world will present their own research in the interdisciplinary field of peace studies.
