The Elizabethtown College Board of Trustees has named P. Edward (Ed) Lovelidge ’82 Chair of the Board with the term effective July 1, 2020.

Chair Lovelidge, a Managing Partner at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), was elected to serve as a Board of Trustee member with the College in 2011. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Elizabethtown College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Public Accountant and his wealth of knowledge and insights in business as well as his deep background with the College make him highly effective to lead the Elizabethtown College Board of Trustees.

“Ed is an incredible ambassador for the College, as Chair of the Presidential Search Committee—I was personally drawn to Ed’s vision and commitment to the future of Elizabethtown College,” Elizabethtown College Former Chair of the Board Robert (Bob) Dolan said. “His deep commitment to Etown along with his business acumen will ensure the College’s success.”

Honoring Outgoing Chair Dolan

Elizabethtown College outgoing Chair Bob Dolan will remain a member of the Board of Trustees and continue to support the College. Dolan, the former President and CEO of Conrad Siegel Actuaries, has been a Trustee since 2013, and most recently served as Chair for the last three years.

Dolan, and his wife Vicki, have generously supported capital funding projects over the years including the opening of the Bowers Center for Sports, Fitness & Well-Being in 2019. The Dolan family also established the Robert D. and J. Sue Dolan Endowed Scholarship to support Elizabethtown College students along their educational journey. This fund is in honor of Dolan’s parents who both led distinguished careers at Elizabethtown College.

“We are truly thankful for our deeply invested Board of Trustees,” Elizabethtown College President Cecilia M. McCormick, J.D. said. “Outgoing Chair Bob Dolan is an integral member of our campus community and we will continue to benefit from his leadership and long-lasting contributions to strengthen Etown. Chair Lovelidge is assuming the role during a pivotal and transformational time at Elizabethtown College, and I am very much looking forward to working with him and our other dedicated Trustees as we navigate the evolving terrain of higher education.”
