Recently, Elizabethtown College was ranked in several categories within the annual U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges list including being ranked in the top 100 of the Best Value Schools list. In its 35th year, the rankings compare bachelor’s degree-granting institutions from across the U.S. on 15 diverse measures of academic quality.
Elizabethtown College was recognized on the following lists:
- #105 in National Liberal Arts Colleges (tie)
- #76 in Best Value Schools
- #160 in Top Performers on Social Mobility (tie)
- #143 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs (tie) (*At schools where doctorate not offered.)

According to E-town’s U.S. News & World Report profile, it states the five most popular majors are currently, Business and Marketing, Health Sciences, Biology and Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, and Education. The profile also indicates the average freshman retention rate at E-town, an indicator of student satisfaction, is 86 percent.
