Colleges in the northeast portion of the country dominate the annual rankings

Elizabethtown College was among one of the colleges named in the annual Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education 2020 College Rankings list. E-town ranked 287 out of 801 institutions across the U.S. The annual college ranking list evaluates colleges and universities on the educational impact and lifetime benefit to students.

McCormick, J.D. said. “Our ranking demonstrates our commitment to provide all of our students a transformative educational experience rich with opportunities to expand their knowledge, gain practical experience and grow as individuals for lifelong success.”

According to the annual college ranking report released on Sept. 4, Elizabethtown College ranked highest in its resources provided to students followed by competitive rankings in the College’s student engagement opportunities and overall student outcomes. Within the Northeast region, Elizabethtown College ranked 110 out of 258 institutions.

Developed in partnership with US experts and universities, the ranking adopts a balanced scorecard approach grouped into four pillars representing, resources, student engagement, outcomes, and campus environment.

Data sources include the Times Higher Education (THE) U.S. Student Survey, and THE Academic Reputation Survey, along with public data from IPEDS, the College Scorecard and Federal Student Aid on areas including completion rates and graduate employment.
