Faculty and staff will welcome students back to class on Monday, Aug. 26

The first Exchange & Explore event was held Tuesday, Aug. 20 to unite and engage faculty and staff for the upcoming 2019-20 academic year. President Cecilia M. McCormick, J.D. welcomed faculty and staff with opening remarks encouraging employees to look for opportunities and work together to enhance the E-town campus for students.

“What I love about E-town is its people,” President McCormick said. “I’m looking for you to help me build the future of E-town together.”

Faculty and staff began the day with a tour of the newest campus building, the Bowers Center for Sports, Fitness and Well-being. Afterward, they attended several professional development workshops in breakout sessions throughout the day.

The annual Exchange & Explore events are designed to engage faculty and staff members to gather and focus on areas or topics across the campus and work together to enhance the student experience, and build skills to grow both personally and professionally.

Employees will welcome back students to campus for the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 26.
