Dr. Gene Ann Behrens, professor of music and director of music therapy, was interviewed by The Hindu for the article “Healing with the sound of music.”

David Beidleman, vice president for institutional advancement and community relations, and Dr. Carl Strikwerda, College president, were interviewed for the LNP article “Elizabethtown College holds second annual ‘Power of One’ 24-hour fundraiser.”

Dr. Jonathon Coren, associate professor of biology, was mentioned in the LNP article “Manheim Township High School junior recognized for gene therapy work.”

Richard Fellinger, Writing Wing Fellow, penned an LNP op-ed about the similarities between Donald Trump and Richard Nixon.

Dr. Mark Harman, professor of English and modern and languages and professor of international studies, was featured in the PennLive video, “Listen to this 9th century Irish poem in its original language (hint: it isn’t Gaelic).”

Carl Kane, Gretna Music, was interviewed for the Lebanon Daily News article, “Gretna Music starts off spring season with world-class trombonist Joseph Alessi.”

Dr. David Kenley director of the Center for Global Understanding & Peace and professor of history, spoke about his experiences in Cuba for WHTM TV27’s “Professor Shares Experiences From Cuba.

Dr. April Kelly-Woessner, professor of political science  and Department Chair, wrote a column for LNP, titled “Mount St. Mary’s president failed to grasp academic culture.”

Dr. Kyle C. Kopko’05, assistant professor of political science and director of the Honors Program, was quoted in an LNP story, “Race for the 16th heats up 5 weeks before primary.”

He also was interviewed by Brad Bumstead of the Tribune concerning “Pennsylvania governor Wolf’s spending amid budget impasse baffles lawmakers” and “Morganelli, Zappala deny allying against fellow Democrat Shapiro in attorney general primary.”

Kopko was interviewed about his book by WITF Radio Smart Talk — “The VP Advantage: How Running Mates Influence Home State Voting in Presidential Elections” and ABC27’s Jason Dietz.

Tim Stuhldreher from LNP interviewed Kopko about the collegiate mock trial competition

Dr. Don Kraybill, Distinguished College Professor and Senior Fellow at the Young Center, spoke with a reporter for the LNP article “The Amish Effect: Unique cultural strengths help Plain Sect businesses thrive.”

Dr. Michael Long, associate professor of religious studies and director of peace & conflict studies, was featured in several articles about Mister Rogers:

Pittsburgh Post Gazette and Allentown Morning Call.

He also was featured in stories about his contribution to the Ken Burns film “Jackie Robinson.”

Dr. Fletcher McClellan, dean of the faculty and professor of political science, was interviewed for a political article in Metro World News concerning Super Tuesday results and by LNP for “Trump effect’ remains unclear as record turnout is expected for Pa GOP primary.”

The Times-Tribune also interviewed McClellan for “Pennsylvania primary will matter in presidential race.”

Michael Mitchell wrote the column, “An interview with John Maxwell, author and leadership coach” for LNP.

Jane Nini, director of career development, was interviewed for CPBJ for the story “Employers: Technology can’t replace face time.”

Dr. Richard Newton, was interviewed on “The ‘why’ behind Pennsylvania’s religious rank.”

Dr. Carl Strikwerda, Dr. Jane Cavender and Brian Helm were interview by an LNP reporter concerning “Elizabethtown College kicks off $50 million fundraising campaign.”

Strikwerda and Helm were interviewed by Inside Higher Ed about “Fund-Raising for Millennials.”
