Dr. David Downing, Ralph W. Schlosser professor of English, is featured on the PodCast “All About Jack: A C.S. Lewis Podcast” due to his literary work and knowledge of C.S. Lewis and Tolkien. The site offers multiple podcasts of Downing discussing his works.

Dr. Colin Helb, assistant professor of communications, was interviewed for the video, “Sony hack theater threat skype interview with Dr. Colin Helb,” posted Dec.18. Helb discussed Sony hacking as a national security issue and shared his reaction to Sony pulling the film from many theaters.

Dr. Michael Long, associate professor of religious studies, wrote a blog piece, “Wasn’t He a Sniper? Mister Rogers and Peace in the Neighborhood,” for the Dec. 24 Huffington Post. Long discussed pacifist Rogers’ intentions to utilize Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood as a platform for sharing his beliefs about nonviolence.

Dr. Conrad Kanagy, professor of sociology, conducted a survey of the Mennonite Church USA that reported credentialed leaders have diverse views about membership and leadership roles for LGBTQ members and how the denomination might be organized differently. An article about Kanagy’s survey was published Jan. 5 in Mennonite World Review article, “MC USA survey reveals divides on inclusion, organization.”

The College was mentioned in the Smart Talk segment, “Milton Hershey students get head start on college; Staying safe in cold weather.,”  The details of the new partnership E-town has with Temple University also were discussed.

Nancy Latimore, director of athletics, was featured in the article, ”Recalling Latimore’s contributions at Elizabethtown,” on Jan. 7 as a part of LNP’s 365 Sports Project.

Dr. Michael Long was featured in an article on Jan. 13, “Series of events for Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday planned here.” His MLK Day talk, “Jackie Robinson and His Quest for First-Class Citizenship,” was highlighted in the Lancaster Newspaper article.

Donna Talarico, Office of Marketing and Communications, was the featured guest on the Jan. 27 podcast episode of HigherEd Social. She talked about work-life balance—holding down a full-time job and running a literary magazine on the side.
