Elizabethtown College was featured in the article “Local College Receives Grant” on Jan. 22 in the Merchandiser. The grant is for women who have an interest in the college’s Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)-accredited engineering program.

 

John A. Hancock, a Virginia artist, had his display in E-town’s Lyet Gallery featured in the article “John Hancock’s artworks delve into natural, family history” on Jan. 30. Hancock’s unique paintings are not done on paper, but on Mylar. Milton Friedly, art professor, commented on the artwork in the article.

 

Allison Bridgeman, associate dean of students, and Dale Boyer, assistant director of security, were quoted in the article “1 in 5 college women are sexually assaulted: here’s how local colleges respond” posted on Jan. 27. The article details local college’s sexual assault prevention methods.

 

Donna Talarico, director of integrated communications, was quoted in the article “Midstate colleges miss Princeton Review’s top 10, but they’re still considered a good value” published on Jan. 29. The article discusses the colleges the Princeton Review overlooked on its list of “best value” schools.

 

Donald Kraybill, professor of sociology, anthropology and religious studies, was interviewed for the article “The Amish: Shunned’ on PBS, a rare look at those leaving the church”, posted on Jan. 31. The article focused on the upcoming premiere of the show ‘Shunned’ and the influence that Kraybill’s book, ‘The Amish’ had on the program.
