Tech Tip: Mailbox Quota in OWA

Over the summer, you received an email informing you that we would be updating Outlook Web App. That process was a success, but many functions have changed. We have updated the ITS Knowledgebase with information on how to perform nearly all functions in the new OWA.

One function that you may be interested in is how to access your mailbox quota. With the old system is was relatively easy to find the quota if you knew what to do. The new system is a little different. The quota is no longer on the main page, it is in options.

To access your mailbox usage and quota, start by navigating to your inbox. In your inbox, click the gear in the top right corner and select Options. Expand the General menu and select My Account. You will information about your mailbox usage at the bottom of the page under Change your password. If the bar is almost full, you should take action to reduce the size of your mailbox. If your inbox becomes full, you will not be able to receive emails.
