Canvas Updates – February 2015

The transition to Canvas is progressing.  At this time, we have all of the May term courses that have elected to use Canvas and all of the summer term courses added to Canvas.  Weekly trainings continue to prepare faculty for creating and converting their courses to Canvas.  See the current training schedule here: http://www.etown.edu/offices/its/Current_Class_Schedule.aspx

In addition to live training, there is now an online, self-paced training that closely parallels the face-to-face version of Canvas Basics.  If you want to enroll in that course, use your usual E-Town username and password here: http://etown.instructure.com/enroll/K48EPB

Fall 2015 courses will be added to Canvas right around Spring Break, so that faculty have plenty of time to attend training and prepare their courses.

All courses offered in the past two years are being archived from Blackboard and can be imported into Canvas.  However, you may prefer to just design from scratch and maximize the cleaner design features of Canvas.  If you are unsure if a fresh design from scratch or a Bb import is the best way to go for your course content, please contact Linda Macaulay for assistance.
