Steve Hartman Keiser is a linguist specializing in historical linguistics and sociolinguistics. His monograph Pennsylvania German in the American Midwest (Publication of the American Dialect Society (PADS 96), Durham: Duke University Press) explores the development of regional dialects in Pennsylvania Dutch.
